ABOUT US

The Cambridge Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 18, 1952 as Delta Pi Sigma at Maryland State College (now UMES). The chapter was charged to work with vim, vigor, and vitality to provide community service on the Eastern Shore of MD. The counties currently served are Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester. Cambridge Alumnae, having served the Eastern Shore of Maryland for nearly seven decades, continues to operate and move with the vision created by the twenty-two undergraduate women who founded Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on January 13, 1913 at Howard University. Collectively, our Founders made an immediate impact on their communities by focusing on academic excellence and serving those in need.

Welcome to the Cambridge Alumnae Chapter (CAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s official website.  We bring you greetings from the beautiful and peaceful Eastern Shore.  The Eastern Shore is a part of the U.S. state of Maryland that lies mostly on the east side of the Chesapeake Bay. It is also the home and birthplace of our own native son, Frederick Douglass, and “Moses of her people,” Harriet Tubman. CAC is engrained in the immense history of the Chesapeake Bay regions.
